A Pet sitting Miracle, Part three

Here are links for A Pet Sitting Miracle, Part One  and A Pet Sitting Miracle, Part Two

It looks like the play area exploded!

Coconut got in the treats!

Bennett and Pepper got into the cleaning supplies!

Margie stole all of the pet beds!

Popcorn is terrorizing poor Nutmeg!

Pirate stole random toys and treats!

Bailey destroyed a toy!

Honey peed in the middle of the floor!

In the middle of all of this chaos, scooter is sound asleep.

I whistle as loud, and as hard as I can. The pets stop what they're doing and look at me.
"BAD PETS! BAD! BAD! BAD! Because of you now, I may not get this job! It would take a pet-sitting-miracle to clean all this up before your owners, or Amy comes back!" I start to clean the mess up, in hope that I can still get the job.

I pick up the treats . . .

Tidy up the cleaning supplies . . .

Mop up the piddle . . .

Help Nutmeg out of her basket . . .

Put Pirate back in his cage, and deal with the stolen goods . . .

Try to fix the dog toy, but end up throwing it away . . .

And, put the dog beds back where they belong, just before Amy got back

"Hey, Leah! How did everything go while I was gone?" Amy asks.
     "It went uh . . . great . . . yeah, everything went great." I lied.
"GREAT! Little Sarah will be in a cast for six weeks, but otherwise she's fine. The customers will be here any minute now." I can't believe it. Amy believed me. I kinda feel guilty, so I fess up.
"Amy, It actually didn't go so well. I decided to finish your paperwork, but I neglected to watch the pets. The play-area was a HUGE mess! I ended up cleaning it up before you came back." I look at my feet
"You don't have to give me the job. I messed up."
"Yes, you did, but I also messed up by leaving you here on short notice. I appreciate that you told me the truth. It's exactly what I want my employees to do. Leah, I'd love to have you work for me."
     "Really?!"
"Really. You also did a great job cleaning up. I can't even tell there was a mess!"

All of the customers pick up their pets. The last person is the beach-stand lady.

At the sight of me, she sighs and rolls her eyes.
"I'm sorry, mam. I believe I owe you this . . ." I held out two dollars I had in my pocket.

"Thanks!" She smiles at me for the first time. She takes her dog, and leavs. I start to help Amy pick up the dog toys.

"So, Leah . . . how did you get everything picked up in time?" She asks.

"I guess it was a Pet sitting miracle!"
